Donovan has been working off and on in glass for many years.
Glass is like no other medium. It is hard to control, to the point where, at least some of the time, I just let it do what it wants to do. It can be serendipitous, and sometimes opening the annealer in the morning is like Christmas morning presents. “So that’s what that color is”… In other words, it’s important for me to learn technique, but I try not to forget that glass is just naturally interesting, no matter what I can do with it.
